a beautiful week

safety camp

They went this week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. They had to be there between 7:30 and 8:00 am and went until 5pm   This was appalling to them. They sleep until 10 normally, never have to do anything for 9 solid hours!   Well, they were up, teeth brushed, hair, shoes and socks, bathing suits packed.

ahhh.

Here they are, trying to lure a sunfish into their basket. When Sam does actually catch a fish, she just rolls it around in her mouth for a minute and spits it out again, no harm done.  These two girls  were pretty happy to see each other. And my parents came to the lake too.

You know, I watch my kids and my grandbabies with their ipads and parents’ phones and I’m so amazed. I’ve heard the negative comments about how kids can’t even carry on a conversation these days (not true) and how technology is wrecking their brains. Sponge Bob could supposedly cause brain damage was one report. Puh-leeze.
