We took Elin on a walk in the woods. It’s so pretty in the field. The fall colors this year are all goofed up by heat and drought.  Some have lost all their leaves while others are still green.   It’s still pretty, but just not like last year when all the planets and stars aligned.

Kari would like a new bed, so Maria and I hit the Restore store–nothing, only queen and twin beds, and then went to the antique shop. Some beds, big, heavy, dark, not sure all the pieces were there, nothing that looked like anything Kari would want. There are always weird things there though.  I asked

This refrigerator was not cooling. Warm mayonnaise, a freezer full of thawed, drippy food–it all had to be thrown away, very sad and very wasteful. Will call tomorrow and schedule an appliance repair person to have a look at it before we throw it away.  Love, Val
