These are our friends from the lake. He passed away a few weeks ago, and yesterday was the service.
It was lovely, absolutely the most loving, funny, astute testimonials to the person he was–his music and art, his listening ear and kindness, the good food and laughter. It was sad, but also good to be together and to reminisce about a life well lived.
I took this picture of them back in 2006, just a quick moment, and moved on. But then later, it was such a pretty picture, I printed it out and mailed them a 5×7, mentioning that they were one of the most romantic couples I’d ever met. They were too–the friendship they shared and the love they extended to everyone around them.
Anyway, nothing but love.
