 It was steaming hot yesterday, and then stormed overnight. Today is hazy, hot and damp. The morning was long and quiet, and we’re looking forward to the long weekend before school starts next week. September’s looking fine. love, Val

We did this. Haven’t been there in many years. The kids remember the trip from 2006. I had eight kids along that time. This time I had only three. The little one was a trooper. She napped in the pouch, then was carried around, rode in the stroller and when she couldn’t hold her head

 Driving to the lake last Friday, the clouds were weird and wild. Storms pounded us at some point along the way, but it was okay.  This gorgeous rainbow seemed to spring right up out of Shell Lake  We didn’t go searching for the pot of gold, just kept on driving I don’t even know. Tonight

 Tuesday morning about 8:30, I sat on the patio watching her on the swings.  There’s something so incredibly touching about being part of someone else’s happy childhood.  A morning like this?  Once in a lifetime. Love you kids,  MOM, aka GRANDMA
