While we were baking cookies Jay was at basketball. – – – – He took quite a few nice pics and had a really good time. Love you all so, Grandma

Christmas program at church this morning, always beautiful. Then these kids were able to come home with us for the afternoon to help decorate cookies and hang out for a while.   That was an unexpected and happy surprise! The kids at home were surprised too. And this guy came over to eat tater tot casserole

Oh yeah, it was a big, fat mess, but we got it done. They were helpful, know how to do this. Very determined baker He decided to clean out the junk drawer, God bless him.   Hasn’t been done in a couple years. And we ended the evening with the kitchen cleaned and all these cookies

It’s been a good week, but a strange week.    This is the first it has been really cold, and that was odd. Christmas shopping is almost finished, but no wrapping so far.  Monday Maria and I had lunch with my parents and I took only a couple pics, but wish there had been more. 

It took us all day to put away Thanksgiving and get Christmas done.  That’s okay.  Nothing else was on the agenda.   This thing–last year we realized the tape would not stick to the new paint. Not one bit.  So another way to hang it up had to be improvised. Love, Val

The house is clean. The girls put the flowers into the vases and set the tables.  Tim put batteries in all the candles. Jay picked up chairs from Brad. Food is ready to go. Onward to tomorrow.    Love, Val
