Gloomy and dark, rain turning to snow, slippery roads.  Their dad dropped them off later than usual this morning, battling icy roads on the way. There were these faces at the door! At the end of the day, the amazing 12 foot Santa was brought from the basement.   And this girl laughs as loudly as she shrieks.   She’s hilarious.   Onward. Today was a great day, due to all the patient and lovely people who made it so.

 We found this thing at Menards this fall, and only resisted for about two minutes and seven seconds. It’s as awesome kitschy weird as anything ever was.  Going out the door upstairs–onto the flat roof:  Ta-da!    He fastened it to boards to help keep it from blowing away in a gust of wind.  Then

 It was rainy today and dark, so dark.  I was up before sunrise and after the sun was up it wasn’t much brighter. The rain continued all day long. Jay replaced the rubber roof on the flat roof during the last couple weekends and I checked several times for leaks. Dry as toast. These guys
