On the way back from their walk to the dam, we ran across this turtle:
He’s cool. I picked him up and tilted him so they could see his colorful belly. Then we put him back in the tall grass. When we went back a few minutes later, he was long gone, ran back to the swamp.
And caterpillars–I love them. These kids with the dark hair are friends from the lake.
And they caught this crayfish. He was cool too.
All in all, it was a good weekend, brought to us by love and patience. When this many people are all together, personalities and dynamics, and RAIN at times–Whee.
But we did it.
